Get a better grip on money with a smart online platform
Nibud is an independent institute that researches and informs people about household finances. Think of topics like saving, making ends meet and borrowing: money matters in everyday life. Everything it does is aimed at helping households get a better grip on their money. Nibud commissioned us to build the Startpunt Geldzaken platform, where visitors can complete financial plans that give them something to hold on to when taking concrete financial steps.
The challenge
How do you build an accessible online platform that gives households something to hold on to when they make financial choices? Nibud wanted a digital environment where people can easily complete financial plans, including vulnerable groups. Nibud's complex calculations had to be processed correctly, while taking privacy, accessibility (WCAG) and customization per municipality into account.
The solution
We built a flexible platform that now offers 10 different financial plans. Users can work on concrete financial steps on their own or with the help of a professional. Each municipality can have its own environment, in its own branding and with local adjustments such as subsidies. Thanks to smart technology, accessible forms and automated calculations, the platform is fast, secure and reliable for every user.
Financial steps that work
The platform has proven its value: more than 638,000 financial plans have been completed so far. In 150 municipalities, residents and support workers use the digital plans to get a grip on their finances together. Whether people fill them in on their own or with guidance from a volunteer, users are enthusiastic. The platform is accessible, reliable and practical, which is what you need for financial steps that work.
