On the way to a CO₂-neutral society by 2050

Enexis Groep plays a leading role in the energy transition. Their mission is a future-proof energy system and a CO₂-neutral society by 2050. With smart innovations and efficient solutions, they make the energy supply more sustainable step by step. The website supports that mission as the central information hub for press, investors and (former) employees: clear, well organized and built for the future.

The challenge

Enexis Groep's website was technically outdated and ran on an Umbraco version that was no longer supported. A new website was essential, but most of the content had to stay. To avoid moving hundreds of pages by hand, we looked for a smart, time-saving way to migrate the content.

The solution

We built a future-proof website in Umbraco and came up with a smart tool for automatic content migration. All existing content moved to the new environment quickly, safely and without manual work. The result is a complete, user-friendly website that is ready for the future, with a solid foundation for all of Enexis Groep's communication.

Understanding and preparation

Together with Enexis Groep, we mapped out the existing platform, the content and the technical requirements. We decided what could go, what needed improvement and where the new website had to excel, such as ease of use, speed and integration with subsites. The result was a clear plan that fit their ambitions completely.

Build

Build and migration

During the build phase we took big steps toward a future-proof platform. We restructured the website and developed a smart migration solution that moved all existing content over without errors. At the same time we implemented technical improvements, from shorter load times and better security to the integration of various tools and subsites. The user interface got an upgrade too, so visitors find their way with ease.

Optimization and further development

After launch, we keep working with Enexis Groep on the continued development of their platform. We monitor performance, run technical updates and keep optimizing the content. That keeps the website current, user-friendly and future-proof, and it keeps communicating clearly about Enexis' role in the energy transition.
